THE GLAM
SYSTEM
The GLAM (Gridlock Access Management) system is a centralised access management and monitoring application authorising access requests to remote locations, which have been equipped with electronic locking devices. This system is Global Positioning System (GPS) based, which automates recording of the exact location of OSP. It has been designed in a generic configuration and operates in real time by using secure mobile communication. It is complemented by a wide range of unique access chambers, which fully addresses all the functional requirements for deployment in Telecommunications and Utility infrastructure applications.
TELECOMMUNICATIONS
The solution optimises the operational requirements of network operators by remotely managing access by own and contracted technicians to mission critical equipment and monitoring key variables inside chambers and cabinets and notifying operators of security and environmental breaches. It provides a record of all activities executed on the system and alarms raised, with the ability to compile reports in support of network management objectives.
The dry underground distribution chamber, with its extractable frame and equipped with a proprietary fibre distribution panel, which may be pre-populated with terminated fibre tails, is a patented world-first solution. It is used to decongest major fibre networks and improve the productivity of fibre building in access networks.
UTILITIES
The solution includes applications for access control and monitoring of manholes, equipment containers, pump stations, power substations, high voltage transformers, access tunnels, water and sanitation infrastructure or any facility requiring operational control.
The dry underground electronic equipment chamber, with its extractable frame and equipped with traffic control electronics and UPS, is a world-first solution for local authorities that may be plagued by vandalism and battery theft. It is access managed and monitored to proactively prevent crime.
RHI-NODE ACCESS CHAMBERS
The access chambers are characterised by market-leading performance in ergonomics, ease of use, load-bearing capability and service lifespan. Smartlock supplies features and cutting-edge electronic locking and monitoring technology that enhances the ability to leverage logistical benefits, thereby solving problems that the various industries face daily. The solution provides the highest level of security and control in authorising access to infrastructure, and additionally employs self-discovery mechanisms to detect and record geographical locations of all access points. This provides the added benefit of having a complete and validated geographical asset record of all network infrastructure under management. The entire system boasts an effective barrier against crime in exposed and remote environments and can also be utilised in high security applications.
